The Museum has instituted an online reservation and timed ticketing system to ensure the greatest possible safety and experience for our patrons. For the foreseeable future, visits to the Museum must be booked in advance.
The Tula Tea Room and Borzoi Kabinet Theater are located on the second floor and available to the public during museum hours.
The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and the first day of the New Year.
The Museum will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 28th, 2024. We will reopen with normal hours on Friday, November 29th.
Be advised, the Museum is expecting larger than usual crowds on the three-day weekend following Thanksgiving and during the weeks directly preceding the Christmas and New Years holidays. Please plan accordingly.

The Museum of Jurassic Technology does not allow cell phone use, including text messaging and photography, while in the Museum.
Photography is not permitted anywhere in the Museum. However, photographs of objects and exhibits can be obtained through the S.F.D.U.I Scenes and Views Archive, by writing info(at)mjt.org.
Visitors are discouraged from bringing large bulky items such as backpacks, luggage or non-collapsible strollers into the Museum, and we ask that all such items be checked at the entrance.
Group and Class Visits
Due to the unique nature of our space, we ask that all group and school visits be coordinated at least two weeks in advance, so that we may schedule your visit outside of our public open hours. Tea in the Museum's Tula Tea Room may be prepared for your group upon request.
Please note that visits to the Museum are entirely self-guided, and we do not customarily offer tours.

The nearest stops on the Metro Expo Line are Culver City Station on Venice and Robertson and Palms Station on Palms and Exposition, both of which are approximately a 10-15 minute walk away.
The MTA Bus Lines 33, 733 and 436 as well as the Santa Monica Municipal Bus Line 12 all stop at the Museum's main entrance.
By car the Museum is most easily reached by exiting the 10 or Santa Monica Fwy. at Robertson proceeding a short distance south to Venice Blvd., turning right (west) and proceeding to the next traffic signal (Bagley Ave.). The Museum is located just east of the intersection of Bagley Ave. and Venice Blvd. on the north side of the street.
